How to Find Your Brand Voice When You're Still Figuring Out Your Brand
By OrbitPost Editorial
Brand voice does not need to arrive fully formed. For most small businesses, it becomes clearer through repetition.
The fastest way to find it is to listen closely to the language already around the business.
Start with real words
Look at customer questions, sales calls, reviews, emails, and founder notes. These are usually more useful than a blank brand workshop because they reveal what people actually care about.
Build a voice bank
Save examples of phrases that sound right. Also save phrases that sound wrong. Over time, the contrast becomes a useful guide.
Your voice bank can include:
- Words customers use to describe the problem.
- Short explanations that feel natural.
- Sentences the founder would actually say.
- Terms the brand should avoid.
The OrbitPost view
AI voice systems are strongest when they learn from real examples. The goal is not to invent a personality. The goal is to preserve the language that already makes the business recognizable.
